FAQ

What should I bring the day of my trip?
-A valid NC fishing licence, rain jacket, polarized glasses, a change of clothes (if desired). A 20 % cash tip for your guide is customary for quality service.

What should i wear?
-Dress appropriately for the weather. We recommend one or two pairs of heavy socks, fleece pants, sweatpants or yoga pants, a fleece top or sweatshirt and a jacket, on most days. In the warmer months one pair of socks, a quick dry shirt and pants will likely be fine. Don't forget a rain jacket. Weather is unpredictable so it's better to have an extra sweatshirt in the car that you dont use, than to go without.

Where will we meet?
- You will meet your guide at a pre-determined location and then follow them in your vehicle an additional 5 to 15 mins to the river. Transportation will NOT be provided by your guide.

What will we catch?
- Brown Trout, Brook Trout and Rainbow Trout. Possibly some smallmouth bass, depending on which time of year you fish. Please look at our slide show and pictures for realistic examples of the species and sizes of fish caught during our trips.

How do I pay?
-Payments are due in full at booking prior to the day of the trip. We accept credit cards, Zelle, Venmo and checks. Checks must be recieved prior to the day of the trip.

What is your cancelation policy?
-Cancelations will be handled on a case by case basis. We reserve the right to handle cancelations/rescheduelings occuring within a one month window of the trip at our discretion. If the GUIDE cancels your trip due to weather, conditions, or for any reason prior to the start of a trip, a full refund will be administered. No refunds will be administered and NO rescheduling will occur for client cancelations occuring less than 48 hours prior to the day of the trip.

Are your trips designed for any age group and any skill/experience level?
-Yes. We can accomadate any age and skill level. Beginners are very welcomed!! Family trips are very common. Trips are not recommended for children under the age of 6. Trips will require wading in a stream, so please give your guide an honest assesment of your skills and physical abilities/limitations during booking. Backcountry trips are not recommended for beginners. We want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable experience. The guide will also need your age, height, weight and shoe size to properly outfit you with waders and boots.
